Morning Prayer
With Jesus in the morning
Feast of St. Thomas
Begin your day with the image of the Apostle Thomas in mind, a reminder of your own humanity in the face of doubt. First, make the words of the Gospel your own: “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe” (Jn 20:25).
Stand with Pope Leo XIV, the successor of the apostles and the shepherd of God’s Church, supporting his mission to lead the Church with compassion and faithfulness. Pray that Thomas’ doubt may become for him a source of unwavering faith. Say to the Lord: Strengthen the faith of the shepherd you have chosen, so that in the face of the walls of the impossible, he may remember that nothing is impossible for God.
Pray the Offering Prayer, asking for the grace of discernment for Pope Leo XIV.

Festa de São Tomé
Inicio o meu dia com um pano de fundo: a imagem do Apóstolo Tomé que nos remete às dúvidas de nossa humanidade. Assumo como minhas estas palavras do Evangelho: “Se eu não vir as marcas dos pregos em suas mãos, se eu não puser o dedo nas marcas dos pregos e não puser a mão no seu lado, não acreditarei.” (Jo 20,25).
Unindo-me à missão do sucessor dos apóstolos, o Papa Leão XIV, guia e pastor da Igreja de Deus com toda a humanidade, rezo que para ele a dúvida de Tomé seja uma fonte de fé sem medida. Senhor Deus, fortifica a fé do pastor que tu mesmo escolhestes, para que, diante dos muros do impossível, que se recorde que “para Deus nada é impossível”.
Rezo a Oração de Oferecimento pedindo a graça do discernimento para o Papa Leão XIV.
